my son is starting nursery school on june 1.  slowly i've been buying the supplies he'll be needing, like labels for his shoes, his lunch container, for his bag and clothes. i can't believe my little one is starting school already.

i'm looking forward to having my morning and afternoon commute with him each day.  and so much more i'm looking forward to, including parent teacher conference (happens twice a year!)

here are the labels from oliver's labels for his shoes, clothes and lunch container.
love how his labels turned out

i created this alphabet design and tried printing it from work on 11" x 17".  but i wasn't happy with how it turned out.  fortunately, i was able to find a poster website that would print my artwork on any size paper.  it came in the mail this week and i'm so happy with how it turned out!

i've always imagined that i would have my son's room completely decorated before he was born. well, that didn't happen.

we moved into our new place and thought, finally, i can decorate tyler's room. well, i went back to work just few month after we moved into our place. the decorations in his room became more of hodge podge collection of random artwork. i wasn't happy with it but with limited time, i didn't have much choice.

before...

after

i used marble black contact paper and white paper with double sided tape for the two lane road. then drew cars and covered them in clear contact paper.

i've wanting to find a way to display the alphabets in his room.
i finally found a way to do it and incorporate one of tyler's faves... trucks!

looks like his room is finally coming together!

there are other projects i'm still working on.
i can't wait to be done with his room. :)
